Alexander Hawkins-Rusch

People often ask what inspired me to pursue a career in financial services. For me, it has always been about people, not just portfolios. Growing up in upstate New York as the youngest of four siblings, I was raised by two educators who modeled integrity, sacrifice, and service. While financial planning was never a common topic in our home, I came to realize that financial literacy has the power to transform lives and create opportunities for generations. That belief became deeply personal when my father was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, reinforcing the importance of preparation, resilience, and having trusted guidance during life's most challenging moments.

Those experiences shaped the way I approach my career today. After earning my business degree from the University of South Carolina and developing leadership experience in the hospitality and golf industries—including working two Masters Tournaments at Augusta National—I joined Capella Financial Group, where I serve as Director of Business. As I continue pursuing my securities licensing and expanding my expertise in wealth management, my goal remains simple: to serve families with integrity, earn their trust, and help them build, protect, and preserve their financial legacy. I believe true wealth is measured not only by the assets we accumulate, but by the lives we improve and the legacy we leave behind.
